So I have been given a piece of cyberspace to give you an insight into my world, what is this madness. Do they know what they are doing!
I co run Merseymusic with Jason Powell and we do our best to give Liverpool bands a platform to get noticed , a helping hand , a fairy god mother, Well more of a hairy god mother.
In my blog ( who named it a blog and why) I will be penning goings on in the music scene in Liverpool which at present is quite vibrant but could be better with some support from the powers that be and also stories from the MM office and my life in general , lucky you !
Normally this weekend I would be out reviewing bands around Liverpool, however I am at home holding the baby. Yes, my better half is off to a hen weekend in Dublin and I reader am being Tom Selleck out of three men and a baby at home.
Well minus the moustache and flatmates. Whilst my good lady is kissing the blarney stone ( that’s all she better be kissing) drinking Dublin dry and dancing to the pogues I will be knee high in snot and poo , but hey I am a modern man I can handle this , Ill call my mother.
Back to music. So much is on offer in this city for a gig goer with every taste but so many people are not aware of what music can be found through the week or most people are too dam lazy to get off their ass’s to go out to gigs, choosing to sit in and watch Eastenders! To these people I say if you do not at least go out once this year to check out a local gig I will come round to your house in the early hours and spank your botty with a banjo.
As this is my first entry I have tried to stay within the 'normal' boundaries and not appear insane, however I am sure this will change. Enjoy my blog , whatever it means.
